This review summarizes the clinical context and classical histology of different types of allograft rejection and also the common entities that enter the differential diagnosis of allograft rejection, and provides practical approaches to liver allograft biopsy interpretation. In addition, some of the new developments in the field of liver transplant pathology are updated.
