Two skulls were found during construction on a hillside garden in Gyeonggi's northern province jurisdiction. At around 10:20 K on May 30, 2019, in the process of planting pine trees at the bottom of a mountain and making a waterway, hundreds of remains buried in the ground and in a gunny sack that had been kept in a warehouse at the construction site were discovered. An autopsy performed on a 59-year-old man who was found deceased on the floor of his closed garage, apparently after leaving his vehicle running, revealed a carbon monoxide concentration of 68%, severe multifocal coronary artery atherosclerosis, with sites of 75% to 90% stenosis identified in all 3 major epicardial coronary arteries, and mild cardiomegaly, with a heart weight of 460 g. The autopsy findings for 3 cases of SARS-(CoV-2) pneumonia-related deaths are reported with pulmonary histology and immunohistochemistry findings. In 2 cases (cases 1 and 2), the time interval from presentation to death was approximately 1 week, whereas for case 3, the time interval from presentation to death was hours. Read more...
