Degeneration of the Clarke's nucleus and posterior horns were noted in addition to segmental demyelination and variable axonal loss of the anterior and posterior roots. The segmental demyelination was more severe in the anterior roots of the lower thoracic and lumbosacral regions. A possible rare association between paraneoplastic myeloradiculoneuropathy and thymoma is suggested.
