Diagnostic Ultrasound Imaging (Ultrasonographic examination in PM&R)
The use of ultrasound (US) imaging has become important in the clinical practice of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). US is now widely used as a diagnostic tool to evaluate disorders of the musculoskeletal system. This collection of articles includes studies published in the American Journal of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation on the topic of US and more specifically on the use of dynamic ultrasound of the six major joints of the body. The authors of this series of articles provide a standardized approach to US examinations that complement the physical exam.
