It is a pleasure to present to the readers this collection of selected published manuscripts on the topic of traumatic brain injury (TBI). Because the incidence of TBI has increased in the last decade, more research is being conducted on various aspects of this disabling condition. The collection represents a mix of recent publications and some of the most frequently cited manuscripts since 2002. These investigations include, among other topics, the basic science of TBI, well-conducted clinical trials of selected interventions, psychosocial considerations, complications of the injury, and outcomes of rehabilitation.
