The article “Monitoring Hospitalized Adult Patients for Opioid-Induced Sedation and Respiratory Depression,” in the March 2017 Supplement to AJN, contained an error. On page S28, it says that a serum bicarbonate level “at or below 28 mEq/L can be indicative of [obesity hypoventilation] syndrome.” This should be “at or above 28 mEq/L.”
