Nursing school enrollments increase across the board. The 2014 annual fall survey by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing showed a 4.2% increase in students in entry-level bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) programs and a 10.4% increase in RN-to-BSN programs, as well as increases in both research- and practice-focused doctoral programs. The student population is also becoming more diverse, with minority enrollment increasing by a third. The percentages of men in baccalaureate and graduate programs ranged from 9% to 12%.
