I enjoyed reading about the photo featured on the cover of the August issue (AJN On the Cover) and learning that horseback riding is one of the activities offered to the children with special needs at the Double H Ranch in Lake Luzerne, New York.

I'm a certified therapeutic riding instructor and member of the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATHI). It's truly amazing to witness what these beautiful, noble creatures are capable of. They are such a source of physical, cognitive, and emotional healing for many.
