Your Guide to Certification
The 2009 Career Guide, a supplement to the January issue of AJN, incorrectly associated the credentialing for the certified pediatric nurse (CPN), the certified pediatric NP for primary care (CPNP–Primary Care), and the certified pediatric NP for acute care (CPNP–Acute Care) with the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Actually, these credentials are offered by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (www.pncb.org).
