MEETING THE CHALLENGES OF THE SECOND HUNDRED YEARSZimmerman, AnneAmerican Journal of Nursing: May 1999 - Volume 99 - Issue 5 - p 14 Letters Free Author InformationAuthors Chicago, IL It was with interest and pleasure that I read and reread the first editorial by Diana Mason as editor-in-chief (January). Her reference to the founders of AJN piqued my interest, as did the comparison between the challenges facing the ANA and its state constituents then and now. I believe that straightforward information will encourage discourse. We have to listen to each other, but we all must have access to the deliberations as they unfold-not after the blueprint is in place. I look forward to the centennial celebration of nursing's oldest and most prestigious journal. Anne Zimmerman Chicago, IL© 1999 Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, Inc.
