Rachel Betesh is a poet and a staff nurse on an acute care oncology unit at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. She writes, "During their stay on the oncology unit, patients and families often transition from an aggressive treatment plan to palliative care. It is this bridging that strikes me most in my work, and several of the poems I've written recently reflect its tenderness." Contact author: [email protected].
