Cheryl K. Schmidt is a lieutenant colonel (retired) in the U.S. Army Reserve Nurse Corps and an associate professor in the College of Nursing at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Little Rock, and the 2004 recipient of the American Red Cross’s Ann Magnussen Award for nursing.
