LILY PINNEO, (B.A., Maryville College, Maryville. Torn.: Johns Honkins Hospital School of Nursing. Baltimore. Md.) is a missionary nurse at the Sudan Interior Mission in Jos. Nigeria. She has a certificate in nurse midwifery from the Maternity Center Association in New York and a certificate as a nurse anesthetist from the Graduate Hospital, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. When she wrote this article, she had recently returned to Nigeria following a year of illness from Lassa fever.
ROSE PINNEO (B.A., Maryville College; Johns Hopkins; M.S., University of Pennsylvania) is associate professor of nursing at the University of Rochester, N.Y., and specialist in cardiovascular nursing with the Rochester Regional Medical Program.
