If only “wanted” children are born to parents—poor as well as affluent—many of the social ills which beset us today would be eliminated, says the president of Planned Parenthood-World Population. Certainly every American woman should have the opportunity to have children by choice rather than by chance. This should be possible within four or five years, Dr. Guttmacher says, as he reports here on current and future methods of birth control.
