A nursing school can rapidly develop unique and valuable lines of research by capitalizing on nursing's special resources, says a sociologist, who has taught research methodology to nurses. He discusses his observations of nurses as research students, particularly at Yale University, and the problems of integrating research into a university school of nursing.
