Endoscopic Mucosal Resection with Double Band Ligation for Small Rectal Neuroendocrine Tumors

Video Author: Bing Hu (author)

Associated with: September 2021, Volume 116, Issue 9; Official journal of the American College of Gastroenterology | ACG. 116(9):1827-1828, September 2021

A new endoscopic mucosal resection with double band ligation (EMR-dB) technique is shown to remove a small rectal neuroendocrine tumor. The first band was deployed as the lesion was sucked into the ligator device. The second band was deployed below the first one after confirming the state of the artificial pedunculation lesion. The snare resection was carried out below the second band with a blended electrosurgical current. The resection specimen was removed by aspiration into the cap and fully flattened.
