LEARNING OBJECTIVE
After this activity, the participant will be able to recognize the importance of evolutionary medicine, apply the evolutionary perspectives on two common gastrointestinal conditions (Helicobacter pylori infection and lactose intolerance), and understand the 3 hypotheses which offer causative explanations for multiple diseases in gastroenterology and hepatology practice.
