Professor Shi-lin Chen, is the Member of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences; Honorary Professor of Hong Kong Baptist University; Chief Professor of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine; Guest professor of Tokyo Pharmaceutical University; Director of the WHO Collaborating Center for Traditional Medicine; Vice Chairman of CGCM; the head of Changjiang Scholars and innovation team of the Ministry of Education; the associate editor of APSB, Chinese Medicine, CHM, and Pharmaceutical Journal. He was the Director of the Institute of Chinese Materia Medica, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences and the Institute of Medicinal Plants, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences.He has won National Innovation Prize, Wu Jieping Medical Innovation Award, Agilent Thought Leadership Award, Qihuang Scholar and other honors. His group won 3 Second prizes of national scientific and technological Progress, was authorized 38 national patents and American patents. He has published more than 500 papers in Nature Communications, Mol Plant, PNAS and other journals, and has been consecutively selected as China's most Cited Scholars in Elsevier for seven years. The papers were cited more than 29,000 times.

Study on the herbal genomics and Modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine, especially original articles and review articles
Outline:
- Review or insight of the relationship on the herbal genomics and Modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
- Herbal genomics including genome sequencing and novel strategies.
- Modern genetics on a genomic scale, including complex gene studies, association studies and structural variation.
- Genomic regulatory analysis, including DNA elements and mechanisms of gene regulation.
