Paul M. Gallo, Ed.D., FACSM, ACSM-EP, ACSM-CEP, ACSM-GEI,is the director of Exercise Science and Wellness at Norwalk Community College, Norwalk, CT; adjunct faculty at Teachers College Columbia University, New York; and a past-president of ACSM's New England Chapter. Dr. Gallo is the chair of ACSM's CCRB–Continuing Professional Education Subcommittee, associate editor-in-chief for ACSM's Health & Fitness Journal®, and associate editor for the Journal of Clinical Exercise Physiology. He strongly believes in the importance of translating science to evidence-based practice within the health-fitness and exercise science fields.
Marisa Hastie, Ed.D., FACSM, ACSM-EP,is the dean of the College of Graduate Health Studies at AT Still University, an associate professor of Kinesiology at AT Still University, and an adjunct professor at Tufts University in the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy. She is the president-elect of the ACSM's New England Chapter and serves on the ACSM Professional Education Committee. She also has served as a student representative, secretary, annual meeting planner, and president of the ACSM's Northwest Chapter. She is passionate about contributing toward increasing pathways into the exercise science field for all interested and passionate professionals. She believes that a variety of perspectives and lived experiences contribute significantly toward strengthening the profession as a whole and ultimately providing the best service/care to our patients and clients.
