He is an accomplished author, speaker, and entrepreneur. Dr. Parrott’s diverse background as a university professor, club owner, and corporate fitness management leader provides a unique perspective for industry analysis and thought provocation. Dr. Parrott is currently vice president of Business Development for Corporate Fitness Works. John Ruyak is the president of CFW Design, a division of Corporate Fitness Works. John has more than 30 years of experience in the field and has completed more than 200 facility design projects. He works closely with construction teams, architects, designers, and other facility teams involved in the project to provide not only an aesthetically pleasing facility but also one that is functional for members. Gary Liguori, Ph.D., FACSM, is the founding dean, College of Health Sciences, at the University of Rhode Island, and professor of Kinesiology. Dr. Liguori is the senior editor of ACSM’s Guidelines for Exercise Testing and Prescription, 11th edition. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the American Association on Health and Disability; is the chair of the Scientific Advisory Board for GO fit Espana, Spain’s largest health and fitness company; and on the Scientific Advisory Board for PlayCore Industries, the world’s largest manufacturer of playground equipment.
