Peter D. Parasiliti, M.S.,is the director of fitness education for Optum. He has been working in the fitness industry since 2004 and has a master’s degree in exercise science with an emphasis in rehabilitation. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and holds a multitude of other fitness certifications. Peter also is an adjunct assistant kinesiology professor at the Los Angeles City College where he developed the college’s personal training certificate program and teaches all of the kinesiology major curricula.
Grace T. DeSimone, B.A., ACSM-CPT, ACSM-GEI,is the national group fitness director for Optum. She and her group fitness teams manage group exercise classes in worksite wellness programs across the country. She is the editor for ACSM’s Resource Manual for Group Exercise Instructors (2011) and is the 2016 IDEA Health and Fitness Association Program Director of the Year. She holds a bachelor of arts degree in dance from Hunter College, City University of New York, New York, NY, and is an ACSM Certified Group Exercise Instructor®and an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer®.
