Blaine E. Arney, M.S., ACSM-EP,is a master’s student in Clinical Exercise Physiology at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse and is a teaching assistant in the Department of Exercise and Sport Science. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from Saint Francis University in Loretto, PA. He is ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist® certified.
Carl Foster, Ph.D., FACSM, MAACVPR,is a professor of Exercise and Sport Science at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. A recipient of the ACSM Citation Award in 2009, his research interests range from clinical exercise physiology to high-performance sports physiology. Dr. Foster was the 2005–2006 president of ACSM and is the current treasurer of ACSM.
John Porcari, Ph.D., FACSM, MAACVPR, RCEP,is a professor in the Department of Exercise and Sport Science at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse and is the program director of the Clinical Exercise Physiology graduate program. His research interests focus primarily on evaluating new exercise equipment and exercise training techniques in cardiac patients. Dr. Porcari was the 2002–2003 president of the Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
