Sara S. Johnson, Ph.D., who received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Rhode Island, has been the principal investigator on more than $4.5 million in National Institutes of Health grants to examine the effectiveness of transtheoretical model-based interventions for weight management, medication adherence, and multiple behavior change interventions. She has been employed by Pro-Change for 15 years and currently is pioneering efforts to include principles of gaming in Pro-Change’s computer-tailored interventions.
