Julie Knaga, M.S., ACSM-CEP, is a clinical exercise physiologist at a multidisciplinary practice serving patients with diabetes, hypertension, and obesity in Marietta, Georgia. She received her M.S. in Applied Exercise and Health Science from Kennesaw State University. Her professional interests include patient education and advocating for the role of exercise in chronic disease management.
Robert Buresh, Ph.D., FACSM, ACSM-CEPis a professor in the Department of Exercise Science and Sport Management at Kennesaw State University, where he teaches undergraduate courses in the Exercise Science program. His current research interests include studying the effects of various forms of exercise on clinical status in persons with type 2 diabetes and on how the volume of physical activity expressed as step counts influences body composition and cardiometabolic risk factors in adults.
