Emily Cooper, M.S., ACSM-CEP, NASM-CES,is a corrective exercise specialist and clinical exercise physiologist (CEP). She is currently working as a CEP and internship coordinator at William Beaumont Hospital's Cardiac Rehab and Preventative Cardiology department in Royal Oak, Michigan. Emily received her Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Michigan State University and her Master's Degree in Exercise Science from Wayne State University.
Barry A. Franklin, Ph.D., FACSM, ACSM-CEP,is director of Preventive Cardiology/Cardiac Rehabilitation at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan, and professor of internal medicine, Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. He is a past president of the AACVPR (1989) and ACSM (2000). Currently, he holds formal editorial board appointments with 16 different scientific/clinical journals, including the American Journal of Cardiology and ACSM's Health & Fitness Journal®.
