Her doctoral research is supported by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation. She has more than 10 years of professional experience in personal training and in leading group training classes in gyms in almost all areas of group exercise programs. She is a collaborator of Therapeutic Exercise Lab Division in SPESS at DUTH. Anastasia Beneka, Ph.D., is a professor of Physical Rehabilitation and an athletic trainer. She has published research in more than 50 international scientific peer-reviewed journals related to functional and therapeutic exercise for improving well-being and quality of life and on counseling the injured patient during rehabilitation. As a researcher in the Laboratory of Therapeutic Exercise and Rehabilitation, she has accumulated extensive experience in developing and implementing exercise programs for promoting well-being and providing counseling and communication techniques. Paraskevi-Vivian Malliou, Ph.D., is a professor in the Physical Education and Sport Sciences Department (SPESS) of Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH). She is a physiotherapist and director of the Therapeutic Exercise Lab Division in SPESS at DUTH. Her research interests are in sport injuries rehabilitation, athletic training, neuromuscular and motor control, musculoskeletal injuries, and diseases. She is a coauthor on more than 70 peer-reviewed published articles related to the field of exercise science.
