About the Association
Karnataka Lingayat Education (KLE) Society situated in Belagavi, Karnataka, India, is the parent society of KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research (KAHER), and serving as a Global leader in Education, Research and Health care for nearly 10 decades. With 250 institutions spread across Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa and New Delhi in India and also in Dubai, each narrating their own amazing stories of enriching people's lives, a harmony exists that is very palpable. Under the unparalleled leadership of Dr. Prabhakar Kore, the KLE Institution has reached enviable heights. His spectacular chairmanship beyond 30 years, with the active support of his team of elected members, embodies the collective efforts of everyone in KLE, including 13,000 members of the trust, 1,10,262 students, and 16,000 strong faculty, in making KLE an international Education-destination. It was founded in 1916 by “Seven Dedicated Teachers or Saptharishis" by starting an Anglo Vernacular school in Belagavi.
The KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research (KAHER) was established in 2006 on the recommendations of the UGC. The University is accredited 'A' Grade by NAAC and is placed in Category 'A' by the MHRD (Government of India) on the basis of the academic and research achievements. KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research (KAHER) today has under its ambit, 8 Health Science institutions of KLE offering courses in Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Physiotherapy and Ayurveda at Belagavi, Hubbali and Bengaluru. The KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research (KAHER) in synergy with the KLES Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital & Medical Research Centre and other healthcare institutions of KLE at Belagavi has brought about a qualitative change by facilitating relevant research and providing easily accessible, modern and affordable healthcare to millions of people in the region and beyond.
The extreme shortage of medical facilities in the region, prompted the KLE Society to establish the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC) at Belagavi in 1963. The JNMC today stands testimony to the high professional standards of the KLE Society. Under the able guidance and mature insight of the Founder Dean, Late Dr. B.S. Jirge, the foundation of the erstwhile academic excellence was laid.
2016, centenary year of KLE Society and also it is the 46th Year of lively and active existence of J.N.M.C. Scientific Society. The scientific society conducts fortnightly clinical meetings, where interesting cases of different specialities are discussed resulting in widening the perspective of the clinicians and breaking the barriers between the specialities for the benefit of the learners and the patients. An annual CME is a regular activity of the society for the last 30 years to update mainly the practicing family physicians. A scientific quarterly journal (Three issues per year) “Journal of the Scientific Society" is being published for the last 42 years; it is a peer reviewed journal and is attracting papers from all over India and abroad.

Wolters Kluwer Medknow provides for long-term digital preservation through two primary partnerships, Portico and CLOCKSS.
Portico is a leading digital preservation service worldwide. The content is preserved as an archival version and is not publically accessible via Portico, but is provided when required under specific conditions, such as discontinuation of the collection or catastrophic failure of the website.
CLOCKSS will enable any library to maintain their own archive of content from Wolters Kluwer Medknow and other publishers, with minimal technical effort and using cheaply available hardware.
Ahead of Print policy
Articles published online under the Ahead of Print model are considered published and can be cited and quoted using the DOI as the reference source. Wolters Kluwer Medknow has a policy that changes will not be made after publication of an article without following accepted procedures for making corrections to the scientific record.
Advertisements
While advertisements are crucial to this journal to be able to keep all content free for everyone, ethical considerations are in place to ensure the integrity of the journal and its content:

Journal of the Scientific Society invites research work from technical and clinical studies related to health, ethical and social issues in field of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Physiotherapy. Articles of clinical interest and implications will be given preference. Our journal gives a good platform for young scholars, clinical residents and busy clinical practitioners to publish their research work/projects and interesting clinical cases in the format of Original articles, Review articles, Meta-analysis, Case series/reports, short-communications and Letter to the Editor. The journal respects the scientific submission of its authors and believes in following an expeditious double-blind peer review process and endeavours to complete the review process within scheduled time frame.
