​About IADVL KARNATAKA (IADVL-KN)
The Indian Association of Dermatologists Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL) came into existence on the 28th of January 1973 at Udaipur with the merger of the Indian association of dermatologists and Venereologists (IADV) and the dermatological society of India (DSI). On the 15th of June 1973, at Madras, the combined Karnataka-Tamil Nadu branch of IADVL was inaugurated. Since the members were started increasing in numbers both state office bearers have decided to form separate state branches. On August 2009, IADVL Karnataka Branch came into existence. Currently there are around 900 life members. IADVL KN actively participates in all the activities launched by IADVL and has been awarded Best Branch by IADVL several times. The state conference, CUTICON- KARNATAKA is being conducted annually since 2010. The association regularly conducts CMEs and Workshops for the benefit of members. IADVL KN is also committed to health education and organized state-wide awareness campaigns on Vitiligo and Topical steroid abuse. The members are encouraged to take up research projects by providing research grants. The achievements of members are recognized by giving various awards and scholarships. The IADVL-KN also publish Dermapen, a compilation of activities and achievements of IADVL-KN branch. Clinical Dermatology Review journal is the official publication of IADVL-KN branch published in both online and print version since 2017.
