Journal of Indian Academy of Oral Medicine and Radiology (JIAOMR) (ISSN: Print - 0972-1363, Online - 0975-1572), an official publication of the Indian Academy of Oral Medicine and Radiology (IAOMR), is a peer-reviewed journal published every quarter, both in the form of hard copies (print version) as well as on the web (electronic version). The journal’s full text is available online at https://www.jiaomr.in. The journal allows free access (open access) to its contents and permits authors to self-archive final accepted version of the articles on any OAI-compliant institutional / subject-based repository. The print version of the journal is available to the life members of IAOMR and paid subscribers. The journal does not charge for submission and processing of manuscripts, and does not apply any additional charges for color reproduction of photographs. However, the journal applies nominal publication charges (which are mentioned on the website) for every manuscript accepted for publication.
The Indian Academy of Oral Medicine & Radiology (IAOMR) is the only national body representing dental surgeons specialized in the field of Oral Medicine & Radiology in India. It is recognized by the Dental Council of India as a national association of specialists of Oral Medicine and Radiology. At present the Academy has over 2000 active members from all over India and abroad. The Academy was formed in 1985 with its registered office at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. It is the organisation in the entire world with the highest number of Oral Medicine / Oral Radiology specialists registered under one association. Major objectives of the Academy include: Endeavor to develop higher standard in teaching and practice of Oral Medicine, Oral Diagnosis, Maxillofacial Radiology and Imaging Sciences; Promote continuing education, research and community Service to rural and urban population with grants, sponsorships and funds of the Academy; Establish scholarships, prizes and awards for meritorious members like fellowship, lifetime achievement award and young scholar award; Hold conferences, seminars, symposia, workshops, study circles, meetings, etc., to exchange recent trends and receive advanced information on progress or achievements in the field from Academy members and to disseminate such knowledge to undergraduate students, postgraduate students of the specialty, and other professionals; Publish periodicals, journals, books, etc., and to encourage the Academy members to publish articles in papers and propagate knowledge of Oral health care through different media; Revise the syllabus, curriculum, and examination patterns for undergraduate and postgraduate courses as and when the need arises and recommend to the competent authorities to implement the same; and maintain contact with national and international Organizations having similar objectives. Digital Archiving
Wolters Kluwer Medknow provides for long-term digital preservation through two primary partnerships, Portico and CLOCKSS.
Portico is a leading digital preservation service worldwide. The content is preserved as an archival version and is not publically accessible via Portico, but is provided when required under specific conditions, such as discontinuation of the collection or catastrophic failure of the website.
CLOCKSS will enable any library to maintain their own archive of content from Wolters Kluwer Medknow and other publishers, with minimal technical effort and using cheaply available hardware.
Ahead of Print policy
Articles published online under the Ahead of Print model are considered published and can be cited and quoted using the DOI as the reference source. Wolters Kluwer Medknow has a policy that changes will not be made after publication of an article without following accepted procedures for making corrections to the scientific record.
Advertisements
While advertisements are crucial to this journal to be able to keep all content free for everyone, ethical considerations are in place to ensure the integrity of the journal and its content:
- "Pop-up" and "banner" ads appear on a random, rotating basis. The advertiser has no control or input over the pages where their ads appear.
