July 2013 issue of JTI published
The July 2013 issue of Journal of Thoracic Imaging has just been published. This issue features three cardiovascular review articles including “Coronary and Cardiac Computed Tomography in the Emergency Room: Current Status and Future Directions” by TS Cook and colleagues, “Cardiothoracic Magnetic Resonance Flow Imaging” by MD Hope and colleagues (see previous blog entry), and “Computed Tomography for Planning Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement” by P Apfaltrer and colleagues. This issue also features three original articles: “Radiographic Follow-up of Suspected Pneumonia: Survey of Society of Thoracic Radiology Membership” by KL Humphrey and colleagues, “The Effect of Computer-aided Detection on Radiologist Performance in the Detection of Lung Cancers Previously Missed on a Chest Radiograph” by S Kligerman and colleagues, and “Perfusion Evaluation of Lung Cancer: Assessment Using Dual-input Perfusion Computed Tomography” by S Nakano and colleagues. New web exclusive content includes the latest update of ACR Appropriateness Criteria® Pulmonary Hypertension. Additionally, the next installment of the popular Signs in Cardiopulmonary Imaging “Scimitar Sign” by J. Nazarian and colleagues is available. Finally, a tribute to Dr. W. Richard Webb, the winner of the 2013 Gold Medal Award of the Society of Thoracic Radiology, is included in this issue.
