Published Ahead-of-Print: The Nubbin Sign

Just published ahead-of-print in JTI is the next entry in the popular “Signs in Cardiopulmonary Imaging” series.  Dr. Jason Lempel and colleagues  from the University of Maryland review the nubbin sign and its differential diagnosis.  The nubbin sign describes a small, smooth contrast-filled focal outpouching, usually arising from the ascending aorta.  The nubbin sign was originally described by Jeudy et al. as a CT finding of an occluded saphenous venous graft aneurysm.  Read the full article for a detailed discussion and illustrative images.
