Four articles from the upcoming symposium on pulmonary MRI have been published ahead-of-print (PAP) in JTI. The first article is another installment in the series of “Expert Opinions” discussing why MRI remains underutilized for evaluating noncardiac thoracic disease. The three (PAP) symposia articles include MRI of pulmonary thromboembolic disease by Christian Fink et al., MRI of pulmonary emphysema by Sang Min Lee et al., and MRI of cystic fibrosis lung disease by Mark O. Wielpütz, et al. These upcoming symposium review articles highlight state-of-the art thoracic MRI and hopefully will spur further discussion and research in this exciting field. Look for the entire symposium in the May 2013 issue of JTI.
