It is my great pleasure and privilege to announce a new affiliation between the Journal of Thoracic Imaging (JTI) and the European Society of Thoracic Imaging (ESTI), which has joined the Society of Thoracic Radiology, the Japanese Society of Thoracic Radiology and the Korean Society of Thoracic Radiology as an official sponsoring society of the Journal.

With this new affiliation, the Journal will now publish a variety of ESTI content, including annual meeting abstracts, selected society announcements and advertisements for the annual ESTI meeting. ESTI members will also receive individual subscriptions to JTI.

I am especially grateful to Dr Peter Vock, Immediate Past-President of ESTI, and Dr Hans-Ulrich Kauczor, President of ESTI, for their invaluable efforts in making this new affiliation a reality. Our publisher Matt Jozwiak was also instrumental in this process.

I am also delighted to announce two new appointments to our editorial team. First, Dr Denis Tack is a new Associate Editor of JTI. In this role, he will serve as an official liaison between the JTI and ESTI. Second, Dr Hans-Ulrich Kauczor is a new member of the JTI Editorial Board, increasing the already strong ESTI presence among the board.

As noted by Dr Hans-Ulrich Kauczor: “With JTI becoming its official chest radiology journal, ESTI will succeed in both generating new attractive benefits for our members and gaining increased visibility for our activities and the research of our members.”

On behalf of the entire JTI team, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all ESTI members. I enthusiastically look forward to this exciting new partnership!
