New Hearing Protection for Industrial Safety
Westone Laboratories, Inc., which manufactures custom hearing protection, has launched a new line of DefendEar custom hearing protection specifically designed and NRR-rated for industrial safety. Four models give industrial safety officers the ability to design a hearing conservation plan that matches their environment's noise and avoids the known safety implications of overprotecting workers.
The DefendEar Max, Lite, Convertible, and Convertible Comm are the core models in the new product line. All DefendEar industrial hearing production earpieces use Westone's proprietary OtoBlast medical-grade silicone and Slick-Sil AM antimicrobial coating to achieve the perfect combination of durability, attenuation, and comfort. Westone will exhibit these products, as well as other models in the DefendEar HPD product line, at the American Society of Safety Engineers 2012 Exposition in Denver June 3-5.
