Abstract

Popliteal cyst is a common cystoid disease closely related with knee-joint degeneration. The open resection has been with a high recurrent rate. The arthroscopic treatment for popliteal cyst was reported as an effective method to reduce the recurrence. The procedure included all or part of the following 3 aspects: (1) debridement of the cyst wall, (2) management of the intraarticular diseases, (3) resection of the valve between cyst and articular joint. In this article, the author's surgical technique is described.
