The Pharmaceutical Interventions for Hearing Loss (PIHL) working group was chartered in 2012 by the Department of Defense (DOD) Hearing Center of Excellence (HCE) to review and maintain state of the science knowledge of translational therapies for the prevention and rescue of noise- and ototoxic-induced hearing loss. This is the first-of-its-kind collection of “best research practices” in the field of pharmaceutical interventions for hearing loss.
