Read this OT feature report about new evidence that found that a large number of oncologists are still ordering tumor marker tests for older women after treatment for early breast cancer--despite the lack of evidence such testing actually improves overall survival in the group and such practice contradicts an American Society of Clinical Oncology recommendation for "Choosing Wisely" [the initiative of the American Board of Internal Medicine to reduce unnecessary medical tests and procedures].
