Right after our December 25th issue went to press with the news that Susan G. Komen for the Cure founder Nancy G. Brinker would now be taking a more active role after CEO Hala Moddelmog left the organization suddenly in November, it was announced that Ms. Brinker will now be Chief Executive Officer and that Mike Williams would be interim President, a separation of roles that had previously been held by Ms. Moddelmog. Komen officials had previously told OT that there were no plans to find a replacement CEO. Mr. Williams had served as Komen's interim Chief Financial Officer before that position was filled early in 2009.
As of now there is no additional information regarding the search for a permanent president, or about what the specific roles would be for each executive position.
