A new iPhone/iPod touch app from Merck called iChemoDiary is an interactive health diary that helps patients and caregivers record chemotherapy schedules, medications and treatment plans, and certain side effects of treatment, such as nausea and vomiting.

Through iChemoDiary, a news release notes, a patient can create daily or weekly reports for their doctor, nurse, or other health care provider to have a more accurate and informed discussion about the patient's specific chemotherapy regimen.

Further information is available in the iTunes.com app store; and the company says that a version for computers is also in the works.
