Longitudinal Study of Stress, Self-care, and Professional Identity among Nursing Students
An important outcome of nursing education is the acquisition of an identity consistent with the profession’s core knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes. Hensel and Laux conducted a longitudinal study to describe factors associated with the acquisition of a professional identity over the course of prelicensure education.
