ABSTRACT: THE ROLE OF STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COACHES IS TO IMPROVE THE PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF ATHLETES. TO ASSESS IMPROVEMENTS IN PHYSICAL ABILITIES, COACHES MUST OBJECTIVELY INTERPRET TESTING AND TRAINING DATA. THIS ARTICLE INFORMS ACTIVE COACHES ON THE USAGE OF A SIMPLE STATISTICAL METHOD, THE EFFECT SIZE, AND PROVIDES PRACTICAL EXAMPLES OF ITS USE.
