ABSTRACT: EXERCISES DESIGNED TO TARGET ECCENTRIC MUSCLE ACTIONS MAY BE USED BY REHABILITATION SPECIALISTS TO IMPROVE MUSCLE PERFORMANCE, DECREASE PAIN, INCREASE FUNCTION, ATTENUATE TENDON DEGENERATION, AND RESOLVE MUSCLE ATROPHY. AS PART 2 OF A SERIES, THIS COLUMN PRESENTS ECCENTRIC SHOULDER EXTERNAL ROTATOR EXERCISES APPLICABLE TO BOTH THE ASYMPTOMATIC AND INJURED POPULATION.
