Use of Flexible Hollow-Core CO2 Laser in Microsurgical Resection of CNS Lesions: Case 2
This is a video of patient 14, who underwent transcortical resection of a left frontoparietal cavernous malformation through the depth of a sulcus overlying the lesion. The laser was used to reduce the mass of the lesion by vaporizing the tissue while maintaining hemostasis. This strategy facilitated dissection around the lesion through a narrow corridor and its gross total removal.
