Sun Ha Paek, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Paek was born in 1963 and graduated from the Seoul National University College of Medicine in 1987. He finished his neurosurgical training in the Seoul National University Hospital and earned board membership of the Korean Neurosurgical Society in 1992. After fulfillment of three-year military service, he joined the faculty members of the Department of Neurosurgery of the Seoul National University College of Medicine in 1999. He spent two years as a research fellow in the Department of Neurology of Cornell University Weill Medical College in New York and the Department of Neurosurgery of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia between 2002 and 2004. Dr. Paek is an active member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (international), the Korean Neurosurgical Society, the Korean Brain Tumor Society, the Korean Skull Base Society, and the Korean Society of Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery. His fields of interest are stereotactic functional neurosurgery, including deep brain stimulation, neuro-oncology, and Gamma Knife radiosurgery.
