The 2013 Brain Health Fair, presented by the American Brain Foundation, took place March 16 in San Diego, CA, drawing 2,000 attendees. Each year the Brain Health Fair is scheduled during the opening day of the American Academy of Neurology's Annual Meeting, which brings over 12,000 neurologists and healthcare professionals into a participating U.S. city. The 2014 Annual Meeting will be held in Philadelphia, PA.
The Brain Health Fair is a free, day-long event connecting patients, families, and caregivers affected by a neurologic disorder with important resources to battle brain disease (Go to BrainHealthFair.com for more information.)
Attendees of the Brain Health Fair had the opportunity to attend free classes taught by leading neurologists about the latest research advances in Alzheimer's disease, epilepsy, headaches, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, sleep disorders, stroke, and other neurologic conditions. Neurology Now was one of the many sponsors of the event, where Editor-in-Chief Dr. Robin Brey was on hand to answer questions and chat with readers of the magazine.
Go to neurologynow.com to watch video interviews with Dr. Brey and other AAN member neurologists. You can also read this entire issue and watch the videos in the iPad edition of Neurology Now. (Download the app at http://bit.ly/HkCPpK and receive complimentary limited-time access.)
