Since 2003, the Fellows Lecture Series has encouraged fellows in training to explore the physiology of the pelvic floor and the epidemiology, pathophysiology, evaluation, and management of its associated disorders. The topics selected followed the learning objectives published that same year in the Guide to Learning in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. A revised guide to learning objectives is currently in development and will demonstrate the range of knowledge required for the subspecialty certification examination likely to begin in 2013. Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery is pleased to launch an online collection of the prior series and to announce the creation of a new Fellows Lecture Series that will present detailed information on topics essential for board certification.
