Abstract

Lichen planus has a variety of appearances. Two patients with very different changes of lichen planus affecting the lower genital tract are presented. In both, treatment with immunosuppressant medications failed. Surgery was performed to release and remove the scar tissue to allow the ability to urinate in one patient and to optimize the vaginal diameter to enable intercourse in the other patient.
