Urethral Prolapse After Pessary Insertion for Stage IV Pelvic Organ Prolapse

Abstract

The use of pessaries for symptomatic pelvic organ prolapse is increasing. Urethral prolapse is an unusual condition that primarily affects prepubertal and postmenopausal females. We present a case of urethral prolapse that occurred after pessary insertion for stage IV pelvic organ prolapse.
