This article relays the experiences of a nurse practitioner serving in Haiti, before and after the 2010 Earthquake. She concludes, “I realized that God had indeed called me to serve – not as I had envisioned, but as he needed.”

A nurse practitioner serving in Haiti before and after the 2010 major earthquake learned a life-changing lesson about serving God.

Linda Peterson, FNP-BC, RN, is a Nurse Practitioner, Our Lady of Lourdes Memorial Hospital, Inc., Binghamton, NY. She assists with the Mobile Health Van and has participated in one service trip to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina and several trips to Haiti.
