Abstract: Nurses are being encouraged to be reflective practitioners, but what does that mean? This article describes reflection-in-action and reflection-on-action, and offers practical advice on how to reflect critically in day-to-day practice and life. A comparison is made between professional reflective practice and biblical reflection or meditation.
