Abstract: Nurses are being encouraged to be reflective practitioners, but what does that mean? This article describes reflection-in-action and reflection-on-action, and offers practical advice on how to reflect critically in day-to-day practice and life. A comparison is made between professional reflective practice and biblical reflection or meditation.

What is "reflective practice?" Find ways to transform care and your professional, personal, and spiritual life through reflection and Christian biblical meditation.
